Basset strengthens its sales organization for MEA region

Basset, a global provider of OSS/BSS solutions worldwide, strengthens its account management team for their increasing number of customers in the MEA region. Bukasa Ntambwe Nkuna and his extensive experience within telecom billing solutions will improve the sales team to further build and expand our business. Bukasa will start 1st of September and he will assume the role as Regional Account Manager.

 

The decision to strengthen the sales organization follows Basset’s strategy to further build and expand their business with existing multi country operator customers and the ambition to take the position as the vendor that continuously gives more.


- I am really glad that Bukasa will join our sales team. The primary objective is to improve interaction with each local operation, defining customer needs, implementing and driving procedures needed to conduct proper planning of new releases, change management, competence programs, etc. All in all, Bukasa will make sure that Basset solutions and services are aligned to support our customer’s operational efficiency, says Anders Smedberg, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing at Basset.


Bukasa has worked as System Expert at Basset since 2007. He joined from Logica CMG where he served as IT consultant with test as specialty. He has also been working as Billing Analyst, Mediation Engineer and Interconnect Business Analyst from 2000 to 2006 at Telenor Sweden. Prior to this he worked at Vodafone Sweden where he managed different IT and billing projects.


- I am really looking forward to this new challenge. My hope is that my long experience and deep knowledge within telecom solutions will further improve our communication and to act as an advisor, not only within our sales team but especially towards our customers, says Bukasa Ntambwe Nkuna.

Bukasa has been involved in many projects throughout the years, implementing Rev Up Interconnect in several operations in MEA and recently successfully integrating an upgrade of Watchdog Fraud 5.0.

Basset selected to supply RevUp Interconnect to Elisa

Basset AB and Elisa Eesti AS strengthens their already good partnership further as Basset has been selected to supply a new interconnect billing solution to Elisa. Basset RevUp Interconnect will replace a fixed line billing solution, which has been acting as a fixed line interconnect billing system.

 
Basset has been selected to supply RevUp Interconnect billing system to Elisa Eesti AS, a leading communications services provider with operations in the Nordic countries, the Baltic’s and Russia. Basset was selected in fierce competition with the other top players within the Interconnect billing domain due to flexibility, previous history and Basset’s willingness to listen to Elisa’s business requirements and constantly evolving the solutions.


 The primary objectives in implementing a new interconnect billing system were to define a single technology platform, the possibility to monitor the correctness of invoicing, reduce manual workload and overall operational costs, improve operational efficiencies and the ability to develop the business with their interconnect partners to achieve a competitive advantage.


“In order to maintain our business objectives and customer loyalty, it was essential for us to replace the system with a dedicated interconnect billing solution as current systems used is failing to meet our business needs. The new solution will support our business; give us new opportunities for reporting. It will also give us the opportunity to increase our revenues, strengthens the customer loyalty and introduce new services faster”, says Triinu Viiderfeld, Interconnect Manager at Elisa Eesti AS.

 

The two companies have a good history together. Basset was previously chosen to supply a roaming billing solution a few years ago, an installation that was very successful and which has given Elisa large savings, both in time and costs.

Basset collaborates with TRMG on new FMS system design

After several years working closely with The Risk Management Group (www.trmg.org), the leading independent industry consultants, on key aspects of product strategy and visioning, Basset has used key TRMG inputs to finalize the designing of a new state-of-the-art user interface for version 5.0 of the Watchdog Fraud Management System.

 

Basset recently announced the launch of Watchdog version 5.0, and one of the key features of this updated solution is a new state-of-the-art user interface. Designed with the assistance of TRMG, who specialize in revenue risk management solutions design, consultancy services and training, this updated interface supports an enhanced user workflow and chain of thought analysis principles consistent with the latest thinking in FMS interface layouts.


“The collaboration with TRMG has been good for several years and we selected them for this assignment because we are well aware of their track record in helping fraud and RA vendors to take their products several steps forward. Basset AB selected to supply Interconnect Billing system to Telenor Sverige AB

Basset AB have been selected by Telenor Sverige AB (Telenor) to supply a new Interconnect Billing solution.

 

Basset RevUp Interconnect will replace Telenors existing systems for interconnect, and will handle both fixed line and mobile traffic from Bredbandsbolaget, Glocalnet and Telenor.

Basset starts the rollout of Watchdog Fraud, Version 5, the next generation of one of the world´s most spread fraud management systems
Basset launches its next generation FMS and RA system – Watchdog Fraud, version 5.

With several Watchdog Fraud, version 5, upgrades at existing customer installations as well as new installations ordered, the launch has started very successfully. Projects cover the MEA region but also North America during the spring.

The customers will enjoy the completely reworked user interface, ensuring a significantly enhanced user experience. Also, features as the enhanced C-level reporting capabilities, intuitive workflow and flexible risk management configuration will increase the fraud management productivity at the customer.
