Company overview

Basset’s main ambition is to help operators around the world get more from their businesses by offering smart services and solutions for inter-operator billing and revenue assurance. Our solutions ensure operators get paid for every transaction in their networks without loss or attempted fraud. Our services portfolio is designed specifically for operators and allows them to focus on their core business. By always delivering on time, at the right cost and with minimal impact on our customers' daily operations, we continually strive to make our customers feel secure and confident.

 Past, present and future
Our background

Our deep insight about the telecom market is rooted in our history. Basset started in 1996 as a spin-off from Comviq, one of the first GSM operators in Europe. We brought telecom experience together with R&D resources to form a company focused on delivering state-of-the-art business support systems to telecom operators who were challengers in the rapidly changing telecom markets around the world.

These operators could not afford never-ending installation projects. They needed to be up and running as fast as possible. And their staff needed to be well trained. We were forced to create and deliver better solutions than our competitors in order to survive.

Simplicity is key

We quickly learned that we needed to take the most straightforward approach. So we designed a very flexible platform. By building our solutions on modules, we could easily adapt them to suit all business requirements and operational conditions. We also made our solutions extremely easy to use so our customers could start using them right away. We continue to work this way.

Learning from experience

Through the years, we have gained valuable experience and knowledge about how to meet different business needs from our work with hundreds of operations around the world. The result is a delivery model that influences all our products and services and that saves time and money for our customers.

Our history has given Basset a unique position in the market and explains why our solutions are more cost efficient, easier to use and faster to implement.

Part of a larger group

Basset has grown organically into a very strong company that delivers world class solutions and services. We have remained a self funded and financially strong business and part of the Kinnevik Industrial Group. Founded in 1936, Kinnevik is one of the largest listed investment companies in Europe.

We are proud of our history as well as the fact our growth strategy has proven very successful. We are confident we will continue to deliver smarter solutions and build an even stronger delivery and service organization for many, many years to come. Our vision is to be the number one choice for every operator wishing to obtain more value.

Creating solutions for today and tomorrow

The product development process is the core of our company. It ensures our solutions are constantly and rapidly evolving. When defining and developing our solutions, we listen closely to our customers and make sure they take part in determining the content of new releases. This, together with our industry intelligence, participation in GSMA and other forums, ensures that a solution from Basset is always competitive – now and in the future.

Our global presence

Our footprint now includes more than 70 customers in 65 countries. Several of these customers has more than one soution installed. Working with so many operators around the world has given us experience that makes us the ideal partner when you want to grow your businesses. It ensures that we understand your needs and can provide fast answers and quick actions.
